In 2024, SSA Marine exceeded its first greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction target, reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity by 28% from its 2021 baseline, while committing to reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity by 35% by the end of 2030 and by 50% by the end of 2035 from its 2022 baseline.
In 2025, our Galveston Cruise Terminal team, a joint venture with Royal Caribbean Group, became the first cruise terminal to achieve both Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Net Zero Energy and LEED Net Zero Carbon certifications from the U.S. Green Building Council for its ongoing operations
21 SSA Marine terminals are Green Marine certified, demonstrating measurable sustainability improvements in their maritime operation
